Description
River captures the quiet movement of water through layered Button Art, using flowing shapes and cool blue tones to create a scene that feels calm and immersive on the acrylic art board.
The composition draws the eye along the river as it winds through the landscape, with subtle changes in color and button height giving the surface a sense of depth. Rather than functioning as a traditional landscape print, the piece has a tactile, handcrafted quality that works naturally in peaceful interiors such as bedrooms, reading corners, living rooms, and home offices.
Building the artwork adds another layer to the experience. Sorting colors, following the printed design, and pressing each button into place creates a steady, almost meditative rhythm. Once finished, River becomes a gentle piece of wall decor that brings a little of the outdoors into everyday spaces.
- Flowing landscape design built from layered buttons
- Acrylic art board with a clearly structured placement pattern
- Varied button sizes create texture, depth, and subtle light reflection
- Hands-on DIY activity suited to quiet creative time
- Finished artwork designed to complement relaxed home decor and wall displays

DIY Button Art
Our DIY Button Art is a compact format designed for a fun and relaxing creative experience. It’s easy to work on at home and makes a beautiful addition to smaller walls, shelves, desks, bedrooms, creative spaces, and gallery walls.
Size: 8 × 12 in (approximately 21 × 29.7 cm)
DIY Button Art is a great choice if you’re new to Button Art, looking for a manageable creative project, or want to create a collection of smaller artworks.
Ready-to-Hang Artwork
Our Ready-to-Hang Artwork is designed to create a stronger visual statement. With a larger surface and more button details, these pieces work beautifully above sofas, beds, consoles, dining areas, home offices, entryways, and other spaces where you want your artwork to become a focal point.
Available sizes:
- 13 × 24 in (33 × 60 cm)
- 16 × 24 in (40 × 60 cm)
- 18 × 24 in (45 × 60 cm)
- 24 × 24 in (60 × 60 cm)
- 24 × 30 in (60 × 75 cm)

Choosing Your Format

Choose this option when you want to create the artwork yourself and enjoy the process of turning individual buttons into a finished piece of art.
Ready-to-Hang Artwork

How to Choose the Right Size
Before ordering, measure the wall or furniture area where you plan to display your Button Art. Consider the available wall width, the furniture underneath it, and how much visual impact you want the artwork to have.
DIY Button Art is a great fit for smaller walls, shelves, bedside areas, desks, bedrooms, and gallery wall arrangements.
Finished Artwork works especially well as a focal point above a sofa, bed, console, dining table, or other larger furniture pieces.
For a gallery wall, you can also combine multiple Button Art pieces to create a personalized display with different subjects, colors, and textures.
Tip: We’re currently developing a simpler AR/VR tool to help you visualize how different Button Art sizes will look in your own space. Stay tuned for an easier way to find the right size before you order.

MATERIALS & CARE
Built With Durable Materials
Each PixelKnot Button Art piece combines a durable acrylic base with carefully arranged buttons to create color, texture, and dimension. The acrylic base and buttons are water-resistant, making the artwork suitable for a variety of indoor environments, including spaces with normal levels of humidity.
The layered button surface gives each artwork a distinctive tactile quality, while the combination of buttons and acrylic creates subtle variations in light and texture from different viewing angles.
Whether you choose to create your own artwork with a DIY Button Art kit or display a Ready-to-Hang Artwork, each piece is designed to bring texture, personality, and artistic character into your space.
Water-Resistant Artwork
The acrylic base and buttons are designed to withstand exposure to water and everyday moisture. This makes the core artwork easy to enjoy in different indoor environments without the same moisture concerns associated with traditional paper-based artwork.
However, the backing board and frame are not designed for prolonged exposure to extremely humid conditions. Long-term exposure to excessive moisture or extreme humidity may cause the backing board or frame to crack or deteriorate over time.
For the best overall condition of your artwork, we recommend displaying it in a dry, well-maintained indoor environment whenever possible.
Caring for Your Button Art
To keep your Button Art looking its best:
- Keep the artwork away from prolonged exposure to extreme humidity.
- The acrylic base and buttons can handle normal moisture and occasional contact with water.
- Avoid prolonged soaking or continuous exposure to water.
- Handle the artwork carefully when moving or repositioning it.
- Avoid placing heavy objects directly against the button surface.
- For dust or light surface cleaning, gently wipe the acrylic and button surface with a soft, clean cloth.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or rough materials that could scratch the acrylic surface.
A Replaceable Framing Structure
If the backing board or frame is affected by long-term exposure to extreme humidity and eventually needs to be replaced, you do not need to replace the artwork itself.
The core Button Art can remain intact, and the backing board or frame can be replaced independently. This gives you the flexibility to refresh or replace the framing components over time while continuing to enjoy the artwork itself.
We are also working toward offering more options for frame colors, materials, and styles in the future, giving you more freedom to personalize how your Button Art looks in your space.
Caring for DIY Button Art
When creating a DIY Button Art piece, take your time and follow the included instructions. Work on a clean, flat surface and keep your buttons and other materials organized during the process.
Once completed, handle the finished artwork carefully when moving or framing it. The acrylic base and buttons are water-resistant, but the completed piece should still be protected from prolonged exposure to extreme humidity to help preserve the frame and backing board.
Caring for Ready-to-Hang Artwork
Our Ready-to-Hang Artwork arrives completed and framed, allowing you to display it without completing the artwork yourself.
When moving or hanging your finished piece, support it securely and avoid putting unnecessary pressure directly on the textured button surface.
The acrylic base and buttons are water-resistant, while the frame and backing board benefit from a stable indoor environment. With proper placement and gentle care, your Button Art can remain a distinctive part of your home decor for years to come.
Made for Everyday Living
Button Art is designed to be enjoyed as both art and home decor. The durable acrylic base and water-resistant buttons make the artwork practical for everyday indoor environments, while the textured construction gives it a unique visual and tactile character.
Whether displayed in a living room, bedroom, home office, creative space, or another favorite area, PixelKnot Button Art is made to bring color, texture, and personality into your home.
